Cantine Cipressi

Voira IGT Chardonnay Terre degli Osci (white)
Voira derives from “bora”, the wind usually blowing in our valleys. This wine is produced from Chardonnay, a grapevine with great adaptation to these hills and harvest happening towards the end of August, only in the early morning.
The handpicked grapes were de-stemmed and softly crushed, prior to being decanted at 10°C for eighteen hours at least. Voira was kept in stainless steel tanks with the addition of selected yeasts causing malolactic conversion. The most fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at 16°-18°C. A little percentage of it was moved to new barrels, where it underwent four-five months’ maturation and, after being blended with the quantity of most fermented in stainless steel, the wine was decanted.

Characteristics:
straw-coloured with an intensely fruit-flavoured bouquet, cool, mild and round.

Matching:
Aperitifs, light hors-d’oeuvres, salted meat, fish dishes and fresh cheeses.
   

Grapevine : 85% Chardonnay, 15% Trebbiano

Origin : Molise, Italy

Vintage : 2007

Proof spirit : 13% vol.
